WHAT WE WILL NEED TO KNOW
The jail the person where the person you are trying to bond out is located.
The length of time the defendant has been in jail.
The name and date of birth of the defendant.
List of charges the person has been charged with.
The amount of the bond.
Your information.
STEP 2
Please call our office and explain the circumstance and your relationship with the defendant.
Note: Please provide the information requested by our office (a valid state id or driver's license) and any information that is requested by the bondsman.
You will be responsible for cosigning for the defendant.
After cosigning for the defendant, you become responsible for the defendant to appear in court.
If the defendant does not appear in court, you are held liable and can be charged a fine.
If you have an insurance bond, the company will go after the bondsman, who will then go after you.
STEP 3
You will need to be prepared to secure the amount that will be needed in order for the bond to be written.
Bond fees are 12% in Louisiana.
If you are unable to secure the full amount, we may negotiate a payment plan with a down payment.
STEP 4
If an agreement has been reached for payment, we will process the defendant's release.
